Following on from our announcement about Offline Till back in July, we thought we’d share an update on our progress.
We are now nearing the end of our work to replace the Emergency Till feature with our new till that works both online and offline seamlessly using browser based technology called HTML5.
We are aiming to make this exciting update available for the first customers to use in January 2017, after the Christmas trading period. In addition to the features you are used to using offline, we’ve also been able to:
- add the ability to store sales transactions for the last 28 days for sales originally made in that store making the process much better and easier if your customers return items when the till is offline
- make it easier to get visibility of when each till is and is not connected to the internet so you can identify any stores with regular issues with internet connection or any stores which may have sales that are not yet included in any reports you run
- encrypt any data held on a local till until it is automatically uploaded to the live database using an encryption process known as AES256, which is widely used by large organisations and governments
We are always striving to provide our customers with the best possible product and experience. Keep an eye on our Product News Blog for the next update on this development.
