Cybertill has been shortlisted to appear at the semi-finals of the European Venture Contest.
This new edition of the European Venture Contest offers entrepreneurs the opportunity to grow their businesses across borders by facilitating contacts with an experienced, international network of venture capital and corporate investors, strategic partners and expert advisers. It consists of a stringent selection process, regional semi-finals and a contest final.
Cybertill’s unique project, which will be publically announced at the regional semi-finals, taking place on the 20th May in Liverpool, has been shortlisted by the organisers for the semi-finals.
Cybertill are a unique EPoS (Electronic point of sale) provider. Cybertill was the first company to offer a cloud computing EPoS system – back in 2001. This means Cybertill manage the EPoS software for their clients, running updates, managing data back ups and so forth. This method of delivery reduces their clients total cost of ownership of the EPoS system. In addition to this their clients can access all data in real time, a huge advantage for busy retailers. It also gives clients the ability to access their EPoS system from any location with an internet connection. Cybertill’s project, that has been shortlisted, utilises the benefits of cloud computing to further enhance their product offering and to benefit their entire client base by boosting their existing sales.
Cybertill’s project meets the rationale of the European Venture Contest of ‘finding, evaluating and awarding world-class innovative companies with the potential to dramatically impact their industry and contribute to increasing European competitiveness and growth.’
